Provide information on the elements to be included in an ASF Risk Communication Plan. The webinar will also share lessons learned from other countries in the preparation of risk and crisis communication plans, as well as key messages and tools to communicate ASF emergencies.

She is the Director of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Medical Sciences , UWI. Appointed in 2018, she is the first female Director of the School and the first graduate of the UWI-SVM ( class of 1995) to be appointed in an this leadership role. She holds a Masters Degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Herd Health from Utrecht University , the Netherlands and PhD in Epidemiology from the UWI. Her research career focuses on tick transmitted diseases, food safety and traditional remedies for animal health, all under the umbrella of public health.
She is the Chair of the CaribVET Vector and Vector Borne Disease working group
Outside of academia she enjoys gardening, being out doors, the company of good friends and family and playing with her 4 dogs.
